ScRambling Quarterback (Football Lesson)


Lesson: The main objective of today’s lesson is to play a lead up game to the words the students have learned (passing, catching).

Student’s Behavioral objectives:
Psychomotor domain: The students will be able to practice the motor skills of throwing, catching, and holding the ball while running with their teammates. The students will try to use these skills to be successful in the game.
Cognitive Domain: The students will learn the skills needed to accomplish the goal of the lesson. The students will learn how to throw and catch a ball using hand eye coordination and will learn how to tuck the ball while running.
Affective Domain: The students will learn how to use teamwork and coordination to help make this lesson successful.

Lead up game
1) After the warm-ups and stretching, then the teacher will instruct on what to do next.
2) The teacher will then review the skills of catching, throwing, and how to hold the football.
3) When the students are done asking questions if any they will go over the rules of the lead up game.
4) The class will be broken up into two groups of 10-12 students and both teams will be on opposite ends of the field.
5) The lead up game is called Scrambling quarterback.
6) There will be cones in a zigzag formation. There will be 6 to 8 cones.
7) When the teacher blows the whistle the first player on each line will run around the cones until they get into the passing zone.
8) The ball will be on the passing zone and when the student gets there they will pick up the ball and throw to the next person on their line.
9) Then when the student catches the ball they will run around the cones with the ball until they get to the passing zone.
10) Then they will throw the ball and the cycles continue.
11) Then finally the first person who was first on the line will catch the ball and run back and place the ball in the passing zone to end the game.

The position is very important for a quarterbacker, there are various football quarterback training especially for skills like throwing, arm strength and football work. There are many camps training for offense and defence techniques which help to new athletes.
