My Philsophy

My teaching philosophy is built upon the foundations of my own experiences I went through as a student. As Fort Hamilton Hs student I had many different Physical Education teachers with different shapes and sizes. I want to be that teacher who looks the part. Many of my past teachers told us to “run” or “jump” when I knew that my teacher could not do it himself. Many of my classmates were not motivated to do anything. How can a student be motivated if the teacher does not look what he preaches. If you have a teacher weighing close or over obese weight how are you going to be motivated to stay fit? So as a teacher I want to be that person who gives those students hope that with effort you can achieve anything in life.

How Do I feel about all this...

When I first stepped into the classroom I thought it was all about technology and it was going to be a bore to tell you the truth. As soon as we stepped into the class you came right at us with ethusiasium and showed us that we can work and have fun at the same time. I learned a lot in the class and will continue to try to involove technology into my lessons of physical education.
